How to List a Tool

Creating a Listing

Open your Profile tab and tap List a Tool to create a new listing. Fill in:

Tool name and category
Condition (New, Like New, Good, Fair)
Daily rental rate and the tool's replacement value (ToolShed sizes the renter's deposit from it; you never set a deposit yourself)
Photos (at least 3 recommended)
Description including any usage notes

Set your pricing, lead time, and Instant Book preference once in listing defaults and every new listing starts from them.

Research comparable tools in your area. Start at the lower end of the range to attract early renters and build reviews.

Use the availability calendar to block dates when your tool is unavailable. You can also pause a listing temporarily without deleting it.
