Frequently Asked Questions
When do I get paid as an owner?
Payments are released 24 hours after the rental is marked complete. Funds typically arrive in your bank account within 2-3 business days via Stripe.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees. ToolShed charges a 15% service fee, deducted from the rental amount. That's it. No subscription, no listing fees, no monthly charges.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported in the mobile app.
What happens if a tool is damaged?
We encourage owners to document tool condition before and after rentals. If damage occurs, our Trust & Safety team will help mediate. We're also working on optional damage protection (see our roadmap).
